Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy explains what information capvilla.org (capvilla.org) collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can.

Information we collect

Daily email subscription

If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date you subscribed and confirmed, and a private code used for your unsubscribe link. We send a confirmation email first; you only receive daily emails after you confirm. Each daily email lists that day’s new posts. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We don’t sell or share your address.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent to our email inbox so we can reply. The message is not stored on the website. To prevent spam, we briefly keep a coded version of your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time.

Comments

If comments are open and you leave one, WordPress stores your name, email, website (optional), comment, IP address and browser details to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email may be sent to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture.

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and performance.

Cookies

Reading captions and using the copy buttons does not need cookies. WordPress may set cookies if you leave a comment (to remember your details) or log in.

Embedded content and links

Some pages may embed or link to other websites (for example Instagram, YouTube or Google tools). Those sites have their own privacy policies and may collect data when you visit them.

How long we keep data

  • Subscriber emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unconfirmed sign-ups can be removed at any time.
  • Contact messages: kept in our email inbox only as long as needed to answer you.
  • Comments: kept with the post unless you ask us to remove them.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in each email. You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you through the Contact page. Depending on where you live, laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU GDPR may give you additional rights.

Children

capvilla.org is family-friendly, but it is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will delete the address.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
